Heh, first the explination of a recanter might be more suiting. To recant is to ask for forgiveness for a mistake. And the recanter is the person asking for forgiveness. So, in turn, a non-recanter would be someone who never admits that they're wrong and never asks for forgiveness, even when proven wrong.
